In the list below, you'll need to please click on the name of the current email program you use today to retrieve your email. A new page will open up. Please PRINT the page and follow the instructions to modify your email account settings.

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ASSUME YOU USE VZINET to CONNECT to the internet and BOTH your incoming and outgoing servers say mail.vzinet.com.

IF YOUR PC DOES NOT CONNECT through VZINET OR your incoming or outgoing mail servers are NOT mail.vzinet.com - make a note of everything your email client says! If you change the wrong field for another email provider or ISP provider, we can not help you resolve that! The best suggestion is to write down the information before you change it. You would typically ONLY need to change the information relative to mail.vzinet.com.

You can use the following information to configure POP with many mail clients. If you encounter difficulties, we suggest contacting us at 903.567.4482.

Incoming Mail (POP3) Server - requires SSL: pop.gmail.com
Use SSL: Yes
Port: 995
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) Server - requires TLS: smtp.gmail.com (use authentication)
Use Authentication: Yes
Use STARTTLS: Yes (some clients call this SSL)
Port: 465 or 587
Account Name: your full email address, ex.: vzmaster@vzinet.com
Email Address: your full email address, ex.: vzmaster@vzinet.com
Password: your password

Please note that if your client does not support SMTP authentication, you won't be able to send mail through your client using your email address.

Account Name and Password are CaSeSeNsItIvE fields!
